Most yachts are equipped with small inflatable skin rafts. The kayak can be stored on deck or in the tailstock compartment. Restarting and launching are quick. As long as the kayak is not overloaded, the crew can safely go ashore.

The most basic inflatable kayak has a very soft bottom that does not provide directional stability for the boat. The opposite is an inflatable kayak with a hard fiberglass bottom. This kind of kayak is far better than the most basic kayak, but it is heavier and occupies more deck space. A compromise ship type is an inflatable ribs ship. This kind of boat has better hardness and stability, or is made of hard plank. When you put a raft boat in a storage bin, you can roll it up.

Inflation and deflation

The rafting boat that was released from the air was put in a bag and stored in the stern container. The raft should be removed and inflated from the bag in the cabin ceiling, front deck or wharf. Make sure that each part is fully inflated and closed the valve. Before you lift the kayak out of the boat, check that the penetrating cables (ropes tied to the bow of the boat for binding or towing) are connected to the yacht. Put the raft boat on the water in the right direction.

Paddle power

Many small leather raft boats have light two part aluminum oars and paddles are plastic. They are connected to the upper articulated oars of the inflatable pipe. The range of efficiency of rowing may be from "acceptable" to "extremely bad". As long as you pull the oars, some of the paddles bend, causing the kayak to spin from one side to the other as it moves. At the same time, paddlers can use plastic sheets or inflatable tubes as seats, and nothing can tie their feet, making paddling very difficult - if you pull too hard, the paddle will bend!

But not all inflatable raft boats are so bad. Some models have wooden paddles and molded paddles that work well when the pipes are superhard to blow. But paddling is still a heavy job --- short, fast strokes are more efficient, and paddling along with the tides is easier.

Life jacket

Always wear lifejackets on the raft. This is regulated by law in some countries. Kayak boats are vulnerable to danger on the way back to the yacht due to overcrowding, especially at night when people are still in the mood of Party joy.

Ship up and down

When you board or disembark, try to stand in the center of the raft, so as to balance the weight of the body. Be quick when you sit down.

Never allow the raft to overload, and you can travel several times to the yacht.

Ashore

Close to the beach, look for channels and berthing areas with buoys. It may be illegal to stay too close to swimmers because of the potential danger of visiting propellers for outboard engines of steadily scooted ships.

Try not to drag the inflatable raft boat to Shanghai. Otherwise, the bottom of the ship will be rubbed and worn. It is better to carry the raft boat, and the stern is the most important part.

Watch out for your position against the raft. People walking on the beach may get stumbled through the cables or outboard. Don't put anchors on the beach. If you have a shipboard boat, lock it up and leave it to protect it.

Watch the tides rise or fall. When carrying the rafts, pay attention to it higher than the high water mark.

If you tie a kayak to a floating wharf or a harbour dike, make sure it doesn't interfere with other ships and anchor the bow cables firmly. Wire rope and padlock are the most sensible precautions at night time. Remember to discharge enough rope for tidal fluctuations.

Night lighting

The white parking lights at the top of the mast must always be open at night. It will prompt other boats to have a yacht moored here, and it will also provide guidance for you to return to the yacht in the dark.

Despite mooring lights, it's hard to get back to your yacht in a crowded mooring area. Watch out for other yacht features when you get ashore. You can leave a cockpit light to make it easier to identify, or confirm the yacht position with a hand-held GPS.

Lighten the flashlight or hand-held white light on the raft boats at night, so that other ships can see you.
